PLANNING chiefs look set to give the seal of approval for two houses to be built in a scenic area, a move which has already been met with criticism from nearby residents and visitors.

The currently vacant land at Willow Grove, Springs - just past Coylton - could soon be site for two new homes.

The site, which is surrounded by a railway line and other cottages, has previously been used as an archery range but has lain empty for the past five years.
