Fire fighters will finally be able to train at home

A VILLAGE fire station is set to put in a training tower following planning permission from the council.
Strathclyde Fire and Rescue (SFR) had applied to South Ayrshire Council to install a 13.7 metre high four-storey steel training tower (as big as their highest ladders) at Colmonell Community Fire Station, 9 Kirkhill Crescent, and this week that application was approved.
