TROON@Ayrshire Family History Society are holding their next meeting on Thursday, March 9, at 7pm in the Johnnie Walker Whisky Bond, 15 Strand Street, Kilmarnock.
It is the annual gathering of the Ayrshire Societies and is hosted by the East Ayrshire Society. Entry is by the door next to the Café da Vinci. Dr Irene O'Brien from the Mitchell Library will talk on "The Heritage Along the Clyde."
Organisers hope to have a good number of members from Troon for this very interesting and informative talk.
Also the East Ayrshire Society are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year and will be holding a Family History Fair in the Grand Hall, Kilmarnock on Saturday, March 18, from 11.15am until 4.15pm.
