A FUNDRAISING event held in memory of Troon woman Rhona Clayton helped boost the coffers of a medical charity to the tune of more than £11,000.
The committee of the Birdie Ball were delighted to present a cheque for £11,500 to Rowan Maine of Cancer Research UK.
She said: "This was a big event and you should all be very proud of this wonderful achievement, the cash will be used towards the research programmes under way to find cures for this disease.”
