NOTE SUB: Could someone please add the coupon Secret Santa Stop Here which was in last week's paper Thanks

ONCE again the Secret Santa campaign is in full swing and on Saturday, the bearded one will spring into action.

Aided by a loyal team of volunteers, he will start his deliveries across the Troon community.

Troon Secret Santa 2017 remarkably has almost 1000 members since it was launched four years ago.

Families and friends from the town have been donating gifts at shops around Troon, Barassie and Muirhead as the excitement of Secret Santa visits gets closer.

The Troon Times are again getting behind the Secret Santa team, printing a Santa Stop Here voucher to be placed in your window.

Nominations are now open for Troon children to receive a gift from Secret Santa and this can be done by private messaging through the Troon Secret Santa Facebook group.

It was set up through a Facebook group run by Caroline Cummings and Campbell Malone, who had the brainchild for the idea.

Each year other Troon people have been involved as volunteers, giving their time and energy to help sort and deliver donated selection boxes and other small gifts to others.

Troon people are encouraged to donate Christmas selection boxes to Troon Secret Santa at donation points around the town. They are also encouraged to write to Troon Secret Santa, via the Facebook page, and nominate children and elderly Troon people who might love a secret gift to be delivered from Santa in December. This has proved to be very popular, with hundreds of Christmas gifts given out each Christmas in Troon.

Campbell and Caroline would like to thank the wonderful people of Troon for their kindness in the past, donating hundreds of Christmas gifts, and look forward to delivering this year’s selection boxes etc. to your children, grandchildren and families throughout December.

Organisers have confirmed the donation points for Secret Santa gifts.

They are, as follows: The Little Knitting Shop, 55 Dundonald Road; Keystore, Deveron Road; Keystore, Central Avenue; Co-op, Muirhead; Barassie Stores, Day Today, Lang Road, Barassie; The Railway Club, Troon and The Poppy Room, Church Street.
