AN EGG-stra special Easter event is on the cards for the people of Troon in just under two weeks' time.
Fullarton Woods will play host to the fourth Easter Egg Hunt, organised by the people behind the Secret Santa initiative on Easter Sunday, April 1.
Once again, the Troon Times are supporting the event by publishing a voucher to allow admission for a family of four.
Those participating in the seasonal extravaganza should hand it over on the big day and they will search for coloured balls, which are being hidden in the woods and can be exchanged for an Easter egg.
Organisers are calling on people to turn out in good numbers to support the Hunt, which will also mark the beginning of the school Easter holidays.
There will also be a pop-up gazebo, donated by Dundonald woman Joy Melville which will help give the event plenty of publicity throughout the company.
The people of Troon have given the venture great support again this year but they are being encouraged to keep the donations coming to help make sure it's a memorable Easter.
Gregor Baird will be there with his burger and hot dog van and bouncy castle, so people should come along and make a day of it.
Meanwhile those who would like to help should note that the eggs can be left at the following drop-off points: Poppy Room, Pamela Allison; Day to Day Lang Road, Mandi Duncan; The Little Knitting Shop, Edna Russell; Sals, Barassie Store; Keystore Deveron Road, the Railway Club and Roslyn Cottingham.
So make your way along to Fullarton Woods on April 1 and don't forget to bring this voucher along with you and enjoy celebrating Easter in style on what is normally one of the biggest family days of the year.
Let's hope the weather holds up for what is becoming an established annual event which involves lots of planning for organisers.
Happy hunting everyone and let's hope lots of eggs are claimed.
