AN argument has broken out between residents and the council over the decision to axe maintenance of grassland in Troon.
Up to 60 residents turned up to the meeting to argue over the lack of upkeep of the green space at Campbell Drive, in the Marr estate.
The estate has been looked after by South Ayrshire Council for 14 years but recent budget cuts has seen its maintenance axed.
The meeting, organised by the Marr Residents Association chairman Maureen Watt, also attracted all four Troon councillors, council officers and a legal representative, manager of Neighbourhood services Eric Monson and head of neighbourhood services Jim McQuillan.
