THE search is on for any relatives of John William ‘Jack’ Saxton and Kate Weston (formally Saxton) nèe Winterbottam.

John William ‘Jack’ Saxton, born in 1882, was the second son of Kate and Samuel Saxton of Eastwood, Nottinghamshire. By 1914 Jack had six brothers and seven sisters. Two of his siblings died in infancy, two of his brothers served in the war and survived and one sister died in the great flu epidemic of 1918 whilst serving as a nurse looking after wounded soldiers in Eastwood.
