Thief snared by a can of cider

A BUNGLING burglar was trapped by his DNA after he helped himself to a can of cider as he was clearing a house out of over £6000 in cash and property.

While Mark Rankin took £1900 in cash from the address in Troon along with jewellery, clothing and other personal items, he left behind the cider can.
