GOALKEEPER Ally McInnes last Wednesday agreed a deal to leave Whitletts Victoria and join local rivals Troon.

Ally moves to the Seasiders as they look to bounce back to the top flight at the first time of asking following their relegation from the Premier League.

In his three seasons at Dam Park, McInnes made 107 appearances for the Vics.

Manager Neil Duffy wished Ally every success with his new club and thanked him for his services to Whitletts.

He said: "For three seasons Ally was a mainstay in the Vics team and he has earned the opportunity to test himself at a higher level. There is no doubt that he is a quality goalkeeper and I'd like to thank him for the service he has given to the Club over the past three seasons and wish him every success with his new club."

Vics fans will get an early opportunity to see Ally in action for his new club when Whitletts visit Portland Park in the Ardagh Cup at the start of the new campaign.
