SCOTTISH National FootGolf Champion Gavin Craig is celebrating more success.
The Prestwick man recently qualified to represent the UK at the European Team Championships in Paris next month.
Gavin said: “I am very proud to be representing the UK again. I am greatly looking forward to being a part of this as it fulfils one of the main aims I set at the start of the FootGolf season. There are eight countries taking part and I believe we will be tagged as favourites, but we must go and get the job done. I would like to thank Andy McKenzie Plumbing and Gas Services for sponsoring both sleeves of my shirt.”
He is still looking for sponsorship for the lower back of the shirt at a cost of £100 plus VAT.
Meanwhile, last week Gavin and his dad David ran a FootGolf fundraiser for local amateur football team, United Churches of Ayr. The club raised £472 profit from the event. UCA head into the Strathclyde Evangelical Churches Premier League for the first time in their history, having been founded in just 2013. Gavin said, “To be honest, we were hoping for a few more participants, but it’s still a healthy profit that the club committee very much appreciated.”
