CLARK DRIVE 0

TROON FC 3

AFTER a recent disappointing defeat to Stewarton, this was a must-win game for Troon.

Troon were sporting their new blue and black Troon strip.

The first half started off with both sides mounting attacks which resulted in few chances from either side and after some great passing football from Clark Drive and Troon the first half ended goalless.

The second half started much better from Troon, with their movement and passing being much more accurate and despite Drive’s attempts to counter attack, Troon’s constant attacks started to show promise.

The first goal came after some good movement up the left side of the pitch, where Josh Prentice, assisted by fellow striker Dylan McDougall made it 1-0.

Clark Drive attempted numerous counter attacks which came to nothing and it was not long before McDougall, assisted by midfielder Connor McGowan scored again.

Drive then continued to push forward a counter attack but the Troon defence were quick to prevent them with a scoring chance.

The match was finished off with yet more good movement coming up the left where Troon’s new midfielder Douglas McKinnon, assisted by McDougall scored again to take the tally to 3-0.

The hosts attempted to counter-attack again which came to nothing and then the match ended.

It was a superbly solid second half performance from Troon. Troon midfielder Lewis Foy was deservedly voted man-of-the-match for an outstanding second half performance.
