A HOT pace was set when the annual Primary Relay event for P6 and P7 pupils from local schools across South Ayrshire was held at Dam Park Stadium on May 9.
A total of 29 schools were in attendance and although the weather was not the best, the enthusiasm from the school children was second to none. The event is sponsored by South Ayrshire Sports Council and is coordinated by South Ayrshire Sports Development Team.
Big thanks to volunteers from Ayrshire Harriers and Ayr Seaforth Athletics, Active Schools and Community Tesco.
Trophies and medals were presented to the winners of the Primary 6 & 7 4 x 100m and 3 x 600m races for both boys and girls in small and large school categories.
