Dalmilling Ladies Golf Club is looking to encourage more women to take up the sport.

The club has between 30 and 40 members and plays out of the South Ayrshire Council course. It is ideal for those who are just starting out or those looking to play a little more regularly by joining a club.

Regular playing days are Sundays and Mondays and you can choose to play nine holes or 18 holes.

Members play a mixture of fun events, team events, and individual competitions and every year organise an open competition to raise funds for charity.

A spokesperson said: "We understand that it can be a little daunting coming along to a club for the first time, whether you can play or not.

"We can assure you we cater for all levels of players and will help with equipment and instructions if necessary and you can buddy-up with one of our members to get you started.

"You can play as often or as little as you like although we warn you, you may become addicted."
