Brian Reid says 'keep calm'

DEFIANT Ayr United boss Brian Reid insisted there’s no need for panic despite a faltering start to the campaign which has seen the Honest Men pick up just five points from their opening four matches.

But the manager is going back to basics on the training ground.

Meanwhile skipper and striker Mark Roberts, on target from the penalty-spot in Saturday’s 1-1 home draw with Peterhead in Barr’s Irn-Bru Division Two says they must be more clinical and wants to see an improvement in home form.

Meanwhile Sportscene can confirm that an Ayrshire Derby is on the cards for Tuesday, September 28, as Ayr United head to Rugby Park to take on Kilmarnock in a Testimonial Match for long-serving Killie defender/midfielder Garry Hay. The game kicks off at 7.45pm and will be the first between the teams since the epic Homecoming Scottish Cup ties of two seasons ago.
