MAYBOLE Maybole were without Chris Allan and Gavin Scott for this important cup tie

but still ran out comfortable winners.

The opening goal arrived in eight minutes when Aiden Connor took a short corner-kick and when the ball was played back to him he drillled the ball into the net.

It was all Maybole at this stage and the Royal Albert keeper saved - first from Connor and then from Adam Caldwell, both in one-on-one situations in 20 and 30 minutes.

In 40 minutes Sam Nimmo crashed a free-kick against the bar.

Midway through the second half it took a fine save from Elliott Masterson to deny Royal Albert the equaliser.

With 10 minutes left Tommy Sloan and Dillan Dunn were introduced and the duo set up Conner in the 86 minutes to net and set up a third round clash with Auchinleck Talbot.

Two minutes from the end Royal Albert had a player sent off for a last man foul.

ANNBANK saw off their city rivals thanks to two early first half goals.

Roddy Paterson opened the scoring in the fifteenth minute with a fine strike from the edge of the penalty area.

Bankies doubled their lead in 20 minutes, Stuart Faulds netting with a low shot from 15 yards.

Five minutes later the injured Paterson was replaced by Holland but the substitute picked up two yellow cards inside five minutes and was sent off

although his second booking looked harsh.

Annbank goalie Marc Fisher produced a string of fine saves to keep his side's two-goal advantage intact.

Ten minutes from time, Maryhill scored to set up a grandstand finish but Bankies progressed.

HAT-trick hero Jack McDowall helped Girvan ease into the second round.

They dominated the entire game.

It took 20 minutes for Girvan to break the deadlock, Mark Cameron who finding the net with a shot into the bottom corner.

Lugar in one of their few attacks had a chance on the half hour but James Wilson shot high over the bar.

Girvan made three substitutions on the hour mark, withdrawing Cameron, Jack McDowall and Stevenson for Reilly, McDowall and Dinwoodie.

McDowall's first goal came in 68 minutes when a corner-kick from David Jardine was fumbled by the visiting goalie and the loose ball was driven into the net.

Four minutes later the keeper again dropped a David Jardine corner and McDowall was on hand to net.
