TROON bounced back from their opening day defeat against Irvine Meadow with a resounding victory in Glasgow.

The visitors almost took the lead in three minutes but an effort by Mark Curragh was cleared by a defender.

Midway through the half Dean Keenan had to head a ball for a corner from a dangerous cross.

Scott McLean opened the scoring for Troon in 34 minutes with a lovely finish.

Three minutes later Ross Barbour met a pin-point corner an slammed the ball home.

Right on half-time, Curragh added a third with a fine shot from just inside the penalty area.

Two minutes after the interval it took a great save by the Maryhill keeper to deny Ross McCreadie a defender completing the clearance.

The fourth goal arrived in 54 minutes when Scott McLean robbed a defender and netted with a fine shot. Two minutes later a Dean Keenan header from a corner was headed off the goal-line.The goal was only delayed by a minute a mistake by the Maryhill keeper

allowed Curragh the opportunity to net.

Curragh completed his hat trick in 70 minutes with another vintage strike.

Dale Shirkie added another goal in 75 minutes, following good play from Curragh and Scott Chatham.

Maryhill were reduced to 10 men a minute later when a player was sent off for a double booking.

Maryhill got a consolation goal a minute from the end.
