TROON 2 (Troon won 4-2 on penalties)

A TROON side, who had re-signed striker Adam Forsyth in their ranks, needed penalties to overcome their high-flying league rivals
Troon opened brightly and in six minutes Scott Chatham shot just over the bar.
It was Renfrew who opened the scoring in 14 minutes when Kieron Maxwell provided the finishing touch to a nice move.
The lead only lasted four minutes. Troon were awarded a penalty and Scott McLean netted from the spot.
In 33 minutes skipper Dean Keenan sent a free-kick into the box but Gavin Collins could not direct his header on target.
Troon went ahead two minutes before the interval a lovely through ball by Morgan Brown found Scott McLean who netted with a lovely finish.
Ten minutes after the interval, Forsyth had a good run but his shot found the side net.
Renfrew drew level in 62 minutes, Jamie McDonald netting from the penalty spot.
So to penalty kicks and Troon converted four of their five with Scott McLean, Dean
Keenan, Steven McCreadie and Jack Paterson netting while Scott Chatham missed his effort.
