OVER 100 people in Straiton are set to fight windfarms threatening to surround their village.
A public meeting of 150 people was held in Straiton last Wednesday night, January 30, organised by Crosshill, Straiton and Kirkmichael Community Council (CSKCC) as an information evening to inform residents about windfarm proposals. But at the end of the meeting a vote was taken and all 107 people, still in the McCandlish Hall at 11pm, voted against any turbines.
