BUTTERFLY Events chairwoman Lorna Dempsey has staged another successful fundraiser for Cancer Research UK.
More than 200 runners took part in the Hillbilly 10k road race through the Craigengillan Estate near Dalmellington which raised £2,340 for the charity.
There were 231 finished the race with Kieran Cooper winning in 37:05 and the first female contestant, Fiona Ramsey, crossing the line at 42:19.
Lorna said: “Thank you to everyone for taking part in the event, we appreciate your support. If you loved it, please tell your friends to allow us to make it better next year.
"We are thrilled to announce with sponsorship and some donations we have currently raised £2340, which will be fully donated to Cancer Research UK.”
