THE Red Arrows will be doubling their appearances at the Scottish International Airshow this year.

Taking place on Saturday, September 1 and Sunday, September 2, the RAF will be bringing a double “red sky delight”.

Councillor Brian McGinley, said: “I have no doubt that the Red Arrows’ double display will be a major draw for visitors from across the country – and beyond – and bring in tens of thousands of tourists who will get the chance to enjoy all that South Ayrshire has to offer.

“Enhancing our tourist offer and boosting South Ayrshire’s profile on the national and international stage is a key part of our programme for governance and the Airshow will go a long way to helping achieve that. It’s going to be an amazing event.”

Paul Bush OBE, VisitScotland’s Director of Events, added: “EventScotland is delighted to be continuing its support of the Scottish International Airshow, particularly in this special 100th anniversary year of the RAF.

“Scotland is the perfect stage for events and the double appearance of the Red Arrows will definitely be one of the highlights of this fun family day out.”
