A MAN who threatened his mother before going on a shop lifting spree has been caged.
Brian Pritchard, 29, of Mill Street Ayr admitted showing up at his mother's home uninvited, demanding entry and uttering threats in November last year.
After appearing at Ayr Sheriff Court he was granted bail but ordered to stay away from the woman and not to contact her.
But he failed to comply with the bail order in December when he attempted to contact her.
In January 2018 Pritchard stole seven jars of coffee from Tesco Express and laundry products from the Coop.
In February the 29-year-old nicked household cleansing items and washing products from Poundland as well as a joint of meat from Aldi.
Pritchard appeared from custody before Sheriff Desmond Leslie at Ayr Sheriff Court last week. He has been jailed for eight months.
