MAYBOLE Regeneration Project is holding a seminar evening in Maybole Town Hall to talk about its history and building structure.
The first talk will be on ‘Ayrshire’s Garden of Eden: the hidden history of Maybole’.
Historical researcher Fergus Sutherland will investigate the long and fascinating history of Maybole including its ancient origins in prehistoric times.
The other seminar will be ‘Caring about Maybole’ and how traditional buildings work.
An introduction to heritage-led regeneration and the importance of looking after old buildings correctly - by John Gilbert, RIAS accredited Conservation Architect.
There will also be the opportunity for those attending to find out more about the Maybole Regeneration Project and the work that the team hope to carry out over the next five years to repair and restore traditional buildings and shopfronts in the town centre.
This is a free drop-in event, open to all and there will cakes, nibbles and refreshments.on Monday, June 11 from 6.30pm-8.30pm.
