A ‘concept collage’ on how Ayr’s Riverside could be shaped has been submitted to the Ayr Advertiser.

Campaigner Gemma Jones has designed the image based on feedback online and consultation. It features a building which could be used as office space, community centre, tourist information and an exhibition of Ayr’s history.

The greenspace in the middlecould include an augmented reality trail an amphitheatre to allow bands to perform or an outdoor cinema to be set up. There could also be nature gardens and ‘quiet’ areas for those who don’t enjoy being in large crowds to relax.

There would also be access to the river with cafes, bars and restaurants for locals and visitors to enjoy.
