DUNDONALD Highland Games have announced this year’s VIPs.
On Monday, June 25, Kenny Easton, who has lived in Dundonald for 60 years, was announced as this year’s Chieftain. He has been on many committees in the village including the Scout Group, Youth Club and was involved in the organising of Dundonald Music Festival.
The organisers of the event also announced this year’s Queen, Caitlin Croll and her Attendants Brooke Sutterfield and Emma Haddow, who all attend Dundonald Primary School.
Eight-year-old Joseph McQuiston will be this year’s Junior Chieftain and will lead the Street Procession on Games Day - He follows in the footsteps of his Great Great Uncle Jim who was Chieftain in 2007.
Louise McCartan, Dundonald Games Chairwoman, said: “We are delighted to have Kenny as our Chieftain.
"He has and continues to do so much for the village and we know he will be a fantastic Chieftain.”
