TROON Primary School has been re-awarded the Eco School Green Flag status.

Pupils from primary three to seven created an application to explain why they should have be given the award, presenting and combining initiatives going on in the school, including their work on Fairtrade, Bikeability, Health and Well-being and Rights Respecting Schools.

A spokesperson for Eco-School Scotland, said: “I am delighted to confirm that the school has successfully renewed Eco-Schools Green Flag Award status.

“Overall fabulous work and a huge achievement for the Eco Committee and Coordinator.”

The pupils involved in receiving the award, include, Ruby Maxton, Amy Jamieson, Valentino Rossi, Jordyn Tait, Lennon Martin, Erin Graves, Cameron McIntyre, Tom Edwards, Euan Stirling and Emerald Rose Bowyer and Troon Primary School’s Depute Head Teacher, Donna Shimmons.
