COURAGEOUS Tammi Drynan from Patna made an epic donation to the neonatal unit after doing the Highland Fling bungee jump at Killicrankie, raising £424. She jumped 132 feet or 40 metres.

The bungee jump itself was a Christmas present, but Tammi decided to use it to raise money for the neonatal unit to say thanks for the care she and son Parker received there.

Parker was born seven weeks early on 19 April 2016 after an emergency C-section, and weighedjust 3lb and 12oz. He was cared for in intensive care and special care before going home after three weeks. Little Parker has had his challenges, but is doing great now. He just started nursery this year and loves it.

Tammi said: “I would like to say thank you to all of the staff in the neonatal unit, but especially Lesley Brown. Without her being there for the first few days we would have been lost. We would also like to thank Project Linus Ayrshire forParker’s blanket, he takes it everywhere with him!”

Caroline Blake, Clinical Midwife Manager Neonatal Services added: “We are delighted to receive this donation and to see Parker and his family again.

“It means so much to us to be appreciated in this way and to hear all about how our little visitors are doing now.”
