WALL-to-wall sunshine greeted revellers at the St Patrick’s Primary School Family Fun night, held earlier this month in the Troon school, writes Stewart McConnell.

It was a very busy night with many children and families of the school and wider community in attendance, it was great to see so many people there soaking up the sun and enjoying the activities.

There were several sporting taster sessions on offer in conjunction with South Ayrshire Active Schools including basketball, hockey, volleyball, golf jackpot from Pure Forged Golf, a rowing machine from gym The Fit Pit, a Fairtrade smoothie bike and Scottish Motorcross and iMotoX with electric scooters.

There was also the return of pony rides supplied by Greenacres Riding School and the burgers served by Troon Round Table.

There were also traditional fairground rides were supplied by Reid’s Amusements.

On the night, the grand final of St. Patrick’s Got Talent was held took place, and the two winning acts, Eve Moncrieff and Sophie Henderson will represent St Patrick’s in the Troon’s Got Talent Final in September.

This was a wonderful event for the whole community and organised by the St Patrick’s Primary School Fundraising Group.

All money raised on the night will be re-invested to the benefit of all the children within the school.

Thanks go to everyone who took part.
