TWO top Ayr United players today signed new deals.

Craig Moore and Jamie Adams have penned deals until January, as Sportscene predicted.

Talking about Jamie Adams, manager Ian McCall said “He has just been a huge player for us in my time here. He was unfortunate with injury last season and he had minor surgery recently to sort the issue. He should be running in time for pre season and we are very hopeful that he will be available for the Betfred Cup games. The way he was playing at the start of last season I wouldn’t have swapped him for any centre half in the league.”

And on Craig Moore the manager said “Moorey just needs a bit of good luck. He has had some terrible luck with freak injuries since being at the club. He is a proven goalscorer and has had a tough time being up against Lawrence Shankland for a place in the starting line up. In terms of timescales he had surgery on his leg in the Summer and we look to have him in full training by the end of August and vying for a place by the end of September.”
