SPORTS to suit children of all ages could be enjoyed recently at Prestwick Academy as part of a summer holiday schools programme.
Active Schools last week hosted a multi-sports camp at the secondary school.
In all some 80 children had an opportunity to develop skills in a wide range of sports, including rugby, football, athletics and Tae Kwon-do.
The event was also supported by Marr Rugby Club, Cambusdoon Football Club, Ayr Seaforth Athletic Club, and Ayr Footgolf, along with Tae Kwon-Do Prestwick.
It gave the youngsters an opportunity to switch off their TV’s or consoles and do something less boring instead.
Sports Leaders from Kyle and Prestwick Academy delivered handball, netball, dodgeball and rounders across two days packed with sport.
They were able to give expert tips to help the kids try their hand at a range of different activities.
Camps were held throughout the holidays at venues including Belmont Academy, Girvan Academy, Marr College, Kyle Academy, Ayr Academy and Girvan Academy.
