CHRISTMAS dippers are being urged to join this year’s Polar Plunge.

The big New Year’s day dip takes place on January 1 and organisers are hoping to see thousands of brave dippers on Irvine Beach ready to take the plunge.

Organisers Coastwatch say there is still time to sign up to the Polar Plunge.

The first 100 to register at the Beach Pavilion get a Goodie Bag.

Goodie bags are packed full of freebies and vouchers from local businesses, including ice cream from Vanilla Joe’s, free MOT from Elite Transport, Free entry to the Maritime Museum, free wine at the Harbour Lights, amongst many, many more.

Cost of registration is only £5 and you get your Goodie Bag just prior to plunging into the icy cold Firth of the Clyde.

Previous plunges have seen local big names such as Ian Clarkson and MP Philippa Whitford taking part.
