A GROUP of pupils from a Colwyn Bay school paid a visit to a regional mosque to boost their GCSE studies.
The year 11 religious studies contingent from Rydal Penrhos went to Llandudno Junction Mosque which proved hugely beneficial for their learning ahead of a busy series of examinations in the coming months.
The visit began with Imam Mohamed greeting the group and giving tour of the facility. He explained the origins and the significance of the Qur'an, the central religious text of Islam that Muslims believe to be a revelation from God.
Rev Nick Sissons, chaplain at Rydal Penrhos, said: “As always the Imam was knowledgeable and gracious in his responses and everyone benefited from the conversation. We greatly value our connection with the local Muslim community and visits like this enhance our learning.”
