Children’s University has arrived at Blacklands Primary School.
They are the first school in North Ayrshire to sign up to this aspirational nation-wide project, which will give children at Blacklands the opportunity to earn credits towards a Children’s University degree through skills based, fun learning outside of the classroom.
Mrs Lauder, Headteacher at Blacklands said: “We value equity for all and the importance of widening children’s experiences beyond the classroom. Children can’t aspire to what they don’t know exists.
“We have a whole school emphasis on experiential learning and already provide a broad range of lunch time and after school clubs, as well as monthly off site school trips, and Children’s University compliments our vision very well.
“We are very excited to be taking this excellent intiative forward at Blacklands and can’t wait to be cheering on our first set of graduates in due course.”
