A BRAVE and hearty group of 36 people - 35 women and one man came together to do a Sunrise Swim at Barassie Beach at 6.50am a week past on Sunday in honour of International Women’s Day.
They raised £200 and a giant box of toiletries for the local women’s charity - Ayrshire Women’s Hub (supporting Women and families through all sorts of difficult situations in and around Ayrshire). Air temperature was around six degrees, water temperature the same, you can’t quite see the snow on the Isle of Arran in the background. After the swim, there was hot chocolate, coffee and bacon rolls.
