GLASWEGIANS are no stranger to a queue - and we showed that this week by patiently waiting for a Big Mac meal. 

The streets were lined with cars for the reopening of McDonald's drive-thrus on Tuesday, Wednesday, and even Thursday proving that when something is worth the waste, us Glaswegians will never shy away from a wee queue. 

Here we recapture the epic moments that Glaswegians queued.

1. The bargain hunters looking for a cheap bath bomb

A Boxing Day bargain attracted a large queue to Lush on Buchanan Street - much to the amusement of Glaswegians whose only festive rule is to stay at home. 

They were baffled by people queuing for a discounted bath bomb but who are we to judge?

2. The Watt Brothers sale that really wasn't a sale 

The closure of Watt Brothers in the city was a sad moment for many Glaswegians. It was an institution and no one wanted to see it close.

But when news circulated amongst savvy shoppers that the closure would result in slashed prices. Again, Glaswegians queued in their droves only to discover the prices were the same.

3. You cannae beat a caffeine hit - so let's queue

Maybe it was lockdown or maybe coffee out of a jar is never quite as good, but when Costa opened people queued.

4.  Just what was Victoria's Secret?

The opening of Victoria's Secret on Buchanan Street two years ago had people queuing for days and days and days. What is her secret?

5. That Krispy Kreme obsession.

There is no denying it, we are a bit of obsessed with this doughnut. Everytime a new Krispy Kreme pops up, us Glaswegians will queue. Can you actually blame us?

6. Patiently waiting for the perfect pizza

Paesano has become a bit of a Glasgow institution. People were simply delighted when they opened up a delivery service during lockdown - and of course they queued. When their pizza at the end of the day, you will queue all day - who is with me?

7. When KFC opened...

To be fair the chicken giants knew that we were craving them and were among the first to open for delivery during lockdown.

So naturally, we queued for a bucket or two - and it was worth of it.

Big Bear Bakery in Battlefield was queued out and it is pretty much the same most weekends. A sign it has to be good surely?
