TWO suspects are accused of assaulting and robbing a 67 year-old man in his own home.
Daniel Adams, 62, and Martin Gould, 44, allegedly forced entry to the flat in Glasgow’s Bridgeton after using “false pretences” to get the OAP to open his door.
The man is said to have been grabbed, repeatedly struck with walking sticks before falling to the floor on March 6 this year.
Prosecutors claim he was hurt to his severe injury and permanent disfigurement.
Adams and Gould allegedly stole alcohol, jewellery, mobile phones, a car key and other household items.
The pair appeared via video link from prison for a short hearing at the High Court in Glasgow on Friday.
They denied the accusations. No trial was set.
Lord Matthews instead fixed a further hearing for September.
