The world's largest cargo ship is landing in Ayrshire today.
The Antonov AN-225 is set to land at Prestwick Airport this afternoon [Sunday, August 2] with motorists advised of a build of plane spotters in the surrounding roads.
Prestwick Airport advise that the massive Soviet-build aircraft is set to land at around 2.45pm.
A spokesperson said: "Roads around the airport are already very busy.
"We kindly ask that you think carefully about travelling to the airport this afternoon. Please be mindful of social distancing measurements."
Chief Superintendent Faroque Hussain Divisional Commander for Ayrshire said: "Later this afternoon the worlds largest cargo aircraft the Antonov AN-225 will be landing at Prestwick Airport.
"Ayrshire Police Division will be supporting plane enthusiasts, but please ensure that you park sensibly thanks."
