Ayr Storm’s youth teams returned to league duty at the weekend, after an absence of competitive court action for over 18 months.
A variety of the club’s youth sides tipped off at Belmont Academy over the weekend.
It was a big step up for the U16 women (pictured above) who entered Division One for the first time in a few years, but they hit the ground running with a 57-29 win over St Mirren.
It was a baptism of fire for the U14 girls in the inaugural U14 National League as they were well beaten 88-26 by a strong Boroughmuir Blaze side.
The U14 boys were also making their debut in the U14 National League but a late rally from the visitors meant they lost 59-41 to St Mirren.
A new look U18 men’s side lost their Scottish Basketball Championship opener 75-53 against NL Chiefs.
The weekend was closed of by a dominant display by the club’s U16 men as they demolished NL Chiefs with a 100-22 win.
