The new Carrick History Society had its Founding Meeting on Thursday, December 9 over Zoom.
The new Society is for anyone with an interest in the Carrick area and this first meeting had a good turnout.
The Constitution was agreed, and the exciting plans of the Society were discussed.
Elected were Simon Glendenning as President, Sarah Anderson as Administrator and Louis Simpson as Fundraiser.
President, Simon Glendenning said: “The Carrick History Society will be a fantastic way for the whole of Carrick to collaborate and learn about, promote and appreciate this stunning area that we live in.
“I will be putting my heart and soul into making this a success”.
