A popular Prestwick pub has been named the best in South Ayrshire.

Vic's, on the town's Main Street, has been named the county winner in the National Pub and Bar Awards 2024.

The venue now has over two months in which to trade off their win, before making its way to the National Pub and Bar Awards grand final, being held on June 26.

Held in London, the final will welcome all 94 county winners from across the UK to come together and celebrate their achievements, before discovering which venues will go on to become regional winners.

Owned by Ayrshire hospitality giant Buzzworks, Vic's sits alongside the company's 150-seater restaurant, The Vine, next door.

It was refurbished and rebranded by the business from the former Elliots eatery following a seven-figure investment back in 2019.

When it opened, Vic's bar featured three 500-litre chilled copper beer tanks, a new glass skylight and wall art murals by artist Michael Corr.
