TRIBUTES have poured in following the death of a former Kilwinning Bowling Club president.
Gordon Russell's death was announced by the club on Wednesday, May 1.
A spokesperson said: "With a heavy heart we regret to inform you of the passing of past president Gordon Russell.
"Our thoughts and condolences are with his wife Agnes, daughters Gillian, Joanne and family at this sad time."
Friends were quick to pay homage to Gordon. describing him as an "absolute gentleman".
One said: "So sad to hear of Gordon's passing. [He was] a true gentleman and will be sorely missed."
Another added: "What an absolute gentleman. He will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him."
Gordon's funeral will take place at Holmsford Bridge Crematorium in Dreghorn on Tuesday, May 21, at 2.30pm.
As Gordon loved colour, and to follow his wishes, wearing black is not essential for those attending the funeral service.
