Volunteers at Girvan RNLI have thanked Quarriers and Homelife who raised £180 for the charity at last year's harbour gala.

Homelife Girvan is a housing support and care at home service for adults, which promotes active citizenship within the community and the rights of individuals to reach their full potential.

Every year the group choose fundraising activities that they would like to be involved in. They chose to hold a water or wine stall at the harbour gala to support the lifeboat.

Pictured from Girvan lifeboat is Gary McGarvie who kindly accepted the donation from Bobby on behalf of Homelife Girvan.

An RNLI spokesperson said: "Well done to all involved and as a reminder, this year's harbour gala is on Sunday, August 4."
