THE countdown is well and truly on to a three-day extravaganza of music which will bring the sounds of the Foo Fighters, Elvis Presley and the Stone Roses to Troon,

Live@Troon gets underway next Friday, September 8 and runs until Sunday, September 10.

It will feature music, events and lively street performance which offers entertainment to satisfy music-lovers from all over the country - including the traditional hard-core festival-goers, visitors to the region and local families alike.

Troon Concert Hall will play host to the main events.

Seizing the limelight on the Friday will be The Complete Stone Roses - one of the UK’s most well-known, most popular and successful tribute bands. Selling out in venues across the UK and Ireland on a regular basis, they have helped to carry on the music of one of the UK’s most influential bands - The Stone Roses.

Also taking centre stage are Definitely Oasis - regarded by many Oasis fans and promoters alike as ‘The Best Oasis Tribute Band’ there is, and the band regularly sell out at top class venues across the UK with crowds often in excess of 1000 people at every show.

They will be joined by Northern Soul - a fitting tribute to Richard Ashcroft and The Verve. They will perform all the hits you know and love, from ‘Sonnet’ to ‘The Drugs Don't Work’.

Saturday's headliners are the UK Foo Fighters - “England’s Premier Tribute Band”to the Foo Fighters as the band's lead singer Dave Grohl himself likes to call them, and with blessings from the original band members - The UK Foo Fighters continue what they do the best – bring beloved live music to the fans, at venues all over the world.

Imagine Primal Scream and Happy Mondays had children genetically fused with the DNA of Frank Zappa, Bob Marley, James Brown and Neil Diamond. Always expect the unexpected when Colonel Mustard and The Dijon 5 come to town! They not only provide an amazing live performance, but are also the flag bearers of The Yellow Movement, with a DIY ethos aiming to affect positive change, bring people together and make them happy.

Have Mercy Las Vegas are described as an "ideal festival band" for fans of Mumford and Sons, Bon Iver, The Lumineers and many more. This band have been earning rave reviews for their blistering live performances at festivals up and down the country. Stand-out performances at Belladrum, Celtic Connections, Hebcelt and Wickerman have been the highlights of their career, although there have been too many to count.

Dogtooth are one of the hardest working bands on the scene, Dogtooth play a mix of their own material and an eclectic mix of punk classics from legendary bands The Jam, The Clash and The Who. This three-piece are taking the UK gig scene by storm.

Seaside Sons are a four-piece indie band from Ayr. They started with long-time friends getting together to write songs to play as an acoustic act, but it wasn't long before they realised that it was time to take the music to the next level. These four lads share a passion for good music and that is reflected in the songs thy write.

Three of the UK’s top performers from London's West End will appear together on Sunday for a special performance titled ‘We Three Kings’ – A two-hour uplifting Rock ‘n Roll Show that will have you dancing in the aisles to all the favourites from Billy Fury, Buddy Holly and Elvis.

There will also be a parade on Sunday, at noon, featuring Troon BB Band, Friends of Fullarton, Dundonald Castle performers, Troon Coastal Rowing Club recruits, Dansarena and Livewhere Theatre.
